The Piano on EW’s 100 New Movie Classics list
Friday, June 20th, 2008From the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly:
50. The Piano 1993. The closing five minutes – when Holly Hunter’s mute pianist takes two trips to the bottom of the ocean, one real and one imaginary – are enough on their own to earn Jane Campion’s bleak yet beautiful feminist parable a shot on our list
Site Update
Sunday, June 15th, 2008I have been working on the Career section of the site on and off for awhile now (as time has permitted me to do so), and I can happily say that it is finally complete. It not only includes information on her film and television projects, but also on her theatre projects as well.
I have (and still am) also been making tweaks here and there on other pages. The other day I noticed that I had quite a few images from events that I’d forgotten to upload to the gallery. I’m still in the process of organising it all, but I’m hoping to start getting it uploaded over the next week, so keep an eye out for that.
Other than that, I don’t have any news on Anna since she’s still filming “True Blood” in Los Angeles.

Vowing to move to Canada if John Kerry loses the 2004 election, fervent liberal John Logue (Breckin Meyer) suddenly finds himself with no job, no girlfriend … and no country! Making good on his “campaign promise,” Logue finds a traveling companion–a sexy, mysterious woman named Chloe (Anna Paquin)–and heads north. But Chloe is not all that she seems and their journey takes more twists and turns than either could have imagined in this romantic comedy that’s as poignant as it is “disarmingly fun.”
