Screencaps from “Nothing But The Blood” are now up in the gallery. The album can be found here and previews are below.
Anna is featured in July’s issue of Self. The magazine’s site has a snippet from the interview and photos up as well. I will have scans from the magazine itself as soon as I pick it up!
From Self:
It’s no secret that here at SELF, we love True Blood. Anna Paquin’s emergence as a sex symbol–and the onscreen (and off-screen!) heat between her and costar Stephen Moyer–has made HBO’s hit show one of our favorites. In fact, we love it so much that we just had to feature its heroine in our July issue.
In a nice departure from the show’s dark, gritty nature (what else would you expect of vampires?), the Golden Globe winner, who plays sassy waitress Sookie Stackhouse, took to the beach to model sweet ’50s-inspired summer clothes. Fortunately, True Blood’s Southern set has helped Anna adjust to her character’s skimpy wardrobe–her usual uniform consists of a tiny tee and short shorts.
“After I was cast and realized my body would be exposed all the time, I went out and bought some shorts–I owned none–to help me get used to it,” she said. “I’ve learned to feel very comfortable wearing very little. It’s liberating!”
From TheStar.Com
Why are vampires so bloody hot right now?
The question was put to Anna Paquin, who plays the fearless vampire lover in the hit series True Blood (returning for a second season tonight at 9 on HBO Canada). “For one thing, all the people that we cast as vampires are incredibly attractive,” she says. “You know, the drop-dead gorgeous thing?”
There’s no doubt she would include Stephen Moyer in that group. The handsome English actor plays courtly vampire Bill Compton, the 173-year-old soulmate to Paquin’s telepathic Louisiana waitress Sookie Stackhouse. Compton is so stuck on Sookie, he risked turning to dust late last season in a daring daylight attempt to protect his lady love.
Moyer himself was practically dusted and fingerprinted on The View last week, when he acknowledged that he and Paquin are very much a couple in real life. Which Paquin is reluctant to do.
“I don’t talk about my personal life,” the 26-year-old woman says, practically gasping at the audacity of the question. “You can ask, but honestly, I always find that when I know a lot about the actors I’m watching on screen, I stop thinking about them as characters and I’m just thinking about some stupid thing I read in a magazine and I don’t believe them – even if they’re really good.”
The Brothers Streep, a band from South Africa, wrote a song about Anna and asked for me to post it on the website in hopes that she may hear it one day. You can download the song here or find out more information on the band from their official website.
From E! Online:
Sure, Twilight and True Blood are vampire stories that include romance, violence and the constant struggle between good and evil.
Even so, they’re very different.
“They’re completely different age groups that they’re trying to appeal to,” says Oscar winner Anna Paquin, who stars in HBO’s True Blood as mind-reading Sookie Stackhouse. “It wouldn’t be appropriate for teenagers to be watching our show. I wouldn’t have been allowed to.”
