What are you most excited about in the new season?
The really exciting things I can’t tell you about. [Laughs.] Everything is just bigger and better. There’s more characters, there’s bigger action. It’s bigger, sexier, scarier, crazier, weirder!

What does Sookie see in Eric?
Well, right now, nothing. He’s trying to mess up her happy situation.

How do you find the balance for real emotions in such a fantasy world?
The writing is based in reality, and it has really beautiful human moments. And that’s credit to our writers, and Alan [Ball] for his vision.
